Have you ever been scared out of your mind, you had no idea what to do but pee in your pants? Okay, maybe not the pee in your pants part, but you get what I mean. It’s hard to be around other people when something frightening happens and you don’t flinch or jump. I can remember multiple different occasions when I was in high school being with my girlfriend and friends, running into some spooky endeavors.
When I was in high school I was very rebellious. When someone told me I couldn’t do something, I found a way to do it. I never liked rejection or negativity.
Having the wrong attitude is contagious and it spreads like wildfire if your not careful. Having the ability to differentiate yourself from the rest of different attitudes and personalities means everything. I love being different.
When I was in high school, there was this old abandoned house down the street from my house that no one had the courage to go into, especially at night. Halloween of my senior year was the year to check the house out.
I remember being in class gathering the group of friend’s I was planning to go to the house with that night. Of course, my girlfriend wasn’t going to be the only one there with us. Besides my girlfriend, I had my two best friends come with me.
A few hours later, when the sun went down we all gathered in my garage to get together and go over the plan. I don’t think we knew what we were getting ourselves into at the time.
I think I was the only one that knew the house we were going to was haunted with past dead spirits. There are a lot cases of haunted houses, that seem to have past spirits of homeowners or citizens of the area being close or inside the property. It is impossible for a ghost or spirit to physically hurt anyone, but it is a little spooky when something jumps at you or makes some weird noise.
When we left my garage, my stomach started doing flips. I think all my friends had no idea what they were getting themselves into. It was like we were walking into a gas chamber, without it being so toxic. No one knows what their getting into unless they fully understand an experience.
The experience of running into a scary, haunted house is something I will never forget. If you’ve ever seen a lot of scary movies in your lifetime you will know what kind of house we went to.
The scary house we went to looked very much like an old house made in the twentieth century. From the outside, the house was a mid-century shaded brown property with a lot of cob webs everywhere. When you notice tons and tons of cob webs on a property or house, it’s a good indication of people not being present. I had no idea when the last person cleaned, entered, or even stayed at the house.
I was the first person who decided to go into the house. I walked up to the front door. As I walked up the porch stairs, I kept hearing the eerie sound of the old wood creak; much like what you would see and hear when someone opens a door in a scary movie.
Once I got to the front door, I opened it and stepped into the dark, cob webbed family room. The rest of the group I came with, didn’t even care to walk up the porch stairs.
I don’t know why I yelled at them to come in, but I did. That was a big mistake, because I think I may have woken up some spirit. When I walked in the room, I was very frightened about what was going on in the house. I made my way through the family room, and up the stairs up the second floor. My body and face were filled with cob webs, that’s when you know no one has come in for a long time to clean up the place.
As I entered the master bedroom on the second floor, I made my way over to the bathroom. As soon as I looked into the mirror of the bathroom I noticed a eerie image of an old woman looking directly at me. I freaked out and ran as fast as I could down the stairs, but I noticed the front had been closed shut. I never closed the door though. Remember this whole house was completely dark with zero way of seeing what was even two feet in front of you.
I luckily could make it out of the house safe with no scars or cuts, but never again will ever find a reason or way to roam around an abandoned, old haunted house. It is just not a good idea at all. Lesson learned. Don’t mess with a scary house to seem cool or macho; especially not on a dark Halloween night like the time I did it.
