From Midnight Walk's reviews:
"The book makes a great first impression by leading with Armand Constantine's "Monsoon Devil"..."
Bookgasm
"Armand Constantine opens the ball with Monsoon Devil, a colourful, entertaining tale of violence and (wrongly placed) revenge."
Bookgeeks
"Armand Constantine kicks off the anthology with his elegantly horrific "Monsoon Devil", a disturbing story about a malevolent holy man who offers to make wishes come true...for a price."
Creature Feature Tomb of Horror
"...a strong tale of magic and revenge..."
Dark Discoveries
"In "Monsoon Devil" by Armand Constantine, a grief-stricken husband haunted by the memories of his late wife seeks out a holy man with slithering tattoos who can summon the titular character - "a patron of things revealed and hidden" - so he can forget. The intriguing backdrop of New Delhi comes to vivid life in Constantine's skilled hands, allowing readers a multi-sensory experience of the abject poverty and filth of the ghettos of India only glimpsed in shows like The Amazing Race and films like Slumdog Millionaire.
Dark Scribe Magazine
"The book hits the ground running with Armand Constantine's "Monsoon Devil", a twisted little tale about a malignant holy man who grants wishes prior to the monsoon season in India..."
Horror Drive-In
"...a fine, well written tale..."
Horror Fiction Review
"The best examples of bucking the system begin with "Monsoon Devil" by Armand Constantine, which brings the reader to Delhi for a tale of retribution. A superb opening, it twists the old revenge trope into something unexpected."
Horror World
"Armand Constantine ("Monsoon Devil") might be known more for his fantasy and horror video game writing, but his unconventional rape/revenge tale - in which a widower possessed by a demon encounters his wife's murderer in a barbershop - works well in the printed form."
